The Bedan Information Technology Society (BITS), formerly known as Bedan Information Computer Society (BCIS), is a recognized organization of college students from San Beda University-Manila.
It is composed of people working together in an atmosphere of mutual support and trust, with the primary goal of catering to the Information Technology needs of Bedans in pursuing personal growth, competency and leadership.
BITS promotes personal development and growth by keeping abreast of the latest trends and challenges in the IT industry thus promoting continuous stepping up in the career ladder as a future professional.
It pursues excellence by applying knowledge and systems acquired in IT related activities and supporting different groups or communities with IT concerns.
The Bedan Information Technology Society aims to help the Information Technology students of San Beda University-Manila to be highly competent and goal driven, in pursuit of new technological accomplishments through diligence, with a noble personality that shows competitive edge and Benedictine spirit.
One of the ongoing worldwide challenges up to this point of time is climate change. With the daily use of technology, the organization aims to raise awareness on its impacts and take action towards a better future.
Moreover, we are dedicated to take part in the empowerment of the youth towards a continuous improvement in the environment by shifting to a greener alternative and in achieving a sustainable development.
With today's world shifting to technology and valuing its importance, the organization is committed to share key knowledge and experiences in educating more people through seminars, workshops, and events. On the other note, we devote ourselves to continuous improvement, learning, and closing the educational gaps between the people.
The organization helps to support Filipinos and local workforce by working together to raise funds in order to aid assistance in their selected communities. We believe in the gift of helping and assistance through practical initiatives like donation drives that may significantly improve the lives of those living in adversity.
The Bedan Information Technology Society strongly upholds advocacies that are related to the environment, education, and charities in the Philippines. As a non-profit IT organization, we work hard and make use of technology as a means to raise awareness and reach more people globally. Furthermore, we are committed to encourage, serve, and unite with people in achieving the same goals for the organization's advocacies.

Events hosted by BITS are free unless they are fundraising.
Unless specifically mentioned as being limited to San Beda University students, you are welcome to attend any BITS events.
